I organized all my notes in Google Docs, with spreadsheets for data, and I’d suggest the same for its ease of use and wide compatibility.

Your experimental design should be meticulous. Outline your materials and methods in detail, make your experiments repeatable, and control your variables. Pay close attention to your data collection methods for accuracy and reliability.
